James’ Progress…

Our intrepid cyclist is now in Ross on Wye enjoying lush, rollling hills and the odd summer shower. Managing over 240 miles since Sunday there is some great progress being made – and it’s still not too late to sponsor him! Forms are in the cafe.

22nd June 2009 – he’s now in Carlise and the hills of the lake district are killing the poor man! Any messages of encouragement are gratefully received and we’ll text them to him! PL

UPDATE 24/6

Had a phone call from James tonight 22h00 ..He is at or rather near Stirling Castle on route to Glen Coe the mountain!
All’s well apart from his very brown legs(?)

Free 4-day Cruise-Careful Skipper & Crew Required!

We have a boat on brokerage on the Ashby Canal which the owner would like very much to bring to Pilling’s Lock to enable him to hopefully sell it quicker. The narrowboat is a 47ft Trad in lovely order – so a careful skipper and crew is required to get it here with as few scratches as possible! but that’s not to say what a nice trip it could be. Any willing volunteers should call the marina office for vetting…  ;-)
